Dense low porosity materials such as modern steel reinforced concrete used in the construction of rail and road bridges, port and maritime structures and similar heavy duty infrastructure developments, are planned for extended service life.
Ultra long term durability is a necessity for protection against soluble salts induced corrosion, ASR/AAR/DEF and other deteriorative effects, therefore Dry-Treat BHN is the product of choice. This is 100% active high performance silane which deeply impregnates the concrete, providing for maximum protection with minimal maintenance over the structures planned service life.
MEDIUM / HIGH POROSITY SUBSTRATES
Dry-Treat BSM 40 is suitable for impregnating absorbent mineral facing materials with the exception of natural stone. This encompasses lime and cement bonded media such as gas concrete, mortar, plaster, bricks, ceramic tiles, grouts, pre-cast architectural facade panels and similar substrates.
In some instances Dry-Treat BSM 20 can also be a suitable impregnant, if the requirement is for a medium term solution, or if the applied substrate is highly porous.
